1979 Wimbledon Championships โ Men's singles
Three-time defending champion Bjรถrn Borg defeated Roscoe Tanner in the final, 6โ7(4โ7), 6โ1, 3โ6, 6โ3, 6โ4 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 1979 Wimbledon Championships. It was his fourth Wimbledon title and eighth major title overall.
