Verrens-Arvey is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.

Geography

The Chéran has its source in the north-western part of the commune. The Verrens, a tributary of the Isère, forms the commune's south-western border.

Climate

Verrens-Arvey has an oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb). The average annual temperature in Verrens-Arvey is 10.5 C. The average annual rainfall is 1471.4 mm with December as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in July, at around 19.8 C, and lowest in January, at around 1.3 C. The highest temperature ever recorded in Verrens-Arvey was 37.9 C on 7 July 2015; the coldest temperature ever recorded was -19.0 C on 6 January 1985.
