Vaega Van Tuinei (born February 16, 1971, in Garden Grove, California) is a Samoan-American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Tuinei attended Westminster High School in Westminster, California and played collegiate football at the University of Arizona. Tuinei signed with the San Diego Chargers in 1997 as an undrafted free agent. His four-year career also included stints with the Indianapolis Colts, and Chicago Bears. His son, Lavasier Tuinei, played in the Canadian Football League.
