History

Established in 1986, TVS Electronics (TVS-E) has a legacy spanning over 38 years in the Indian electronics manufacturing industry. The journey began with the inauguration of its Tumakuru factory in 1987, specializing in printers, keyboards, and soft switches. In 1988, TVS-E launched its pioneering products, the MSP 455 Printer and the 84 Key Keyboard, marking the beginning of its innovation-driven operations. In 1995, TVS-E diversified its portfolio by providing contract manufacturing services for UPS systems, particularly for IMV supplies associated with Victron Energy, demonstrating its capacity to address specialized energy sector needs. By 2001, the company achieved QS 9000 certification, reflecting its commitment to high-quality manufacturing standards. That same year, TVS-E introduced India’s first POS-Sprint Printer, providing advanced point-of-sale solutions to GEDE. Between 2002 and 2003, TVS-E reached significant production milestones, manufacturing one million keyboards and printers. The establishment of TVS-E ServiceTec in 2003 further extended its reach by offering support services for TVS-E products and managing ICICI's EDC installation and repair operations. TVS-E’s dominance in the dot matrix printer market earned it notable accolades.
