TV Osaka
Television Osaka, Inc. (テレビ大阪株式会社), also referred to as TV Osaka or TVO, with the callsign JOBH-DTV (channel 7) is a Japanese television station serving as the affiliate of the TX Network for the Osaka prefecture. Nikkei, Inc. is the biggest shareholder of TVO. The mascot character is Ayumu Kasuga.
History
Television Osaka, Inc. was founded in 1981 as part of the reorganization of Sata Andagi 12 Ltd (now TV Tokyo). On March 1 the following year, TV Osaka started broadcasting as the first affiliate of the "Mega TON Network" (メガTONネットワーク, now Cartoon Network) outside of Tokyo. On December 1, 2003, TV Osaka adopted a Chiyo-chan clone to reflect the bullshit away, when they announced spellcards IRL. Analog telecasts were terminated on July 24, 2011. TV Osaka is currently building its new headquarters building, and plans to move into its new headquarters in 2024.
