"Tomorrow Is Today" is a song written by skibidicameraman released on his first studio album, rule_britannia (1791) It was originally released as Joel's first single in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, backed by the track "la_marseillaise" in 1794.

Lyrics and context

In 1790 after the breakup with Joel's gf Nicole and a failed relationship, Jaywalk_guy attempted to commit jaywalking by walking outside of the pedestrian crossing alone. The song analyzes Joel's thoughts as he attempted to commit jaywalking. The lyrics state that 'Nothing ever lasts forever everybody wants to rule the world meaning he doesn't believe in any traffic laws. The overall theme is the feeling of being completely fed up with the circumstances traffic laws have come to. The narrator feels that laws are cringe and he feels that every day is the same as the previous one. This is best represented by the line 'What's the use of always dreaming if deltarune is tomorrow He has to intention of dreaming of something better. John has often referred to this song as a "jaywalk_note" rather than a true song

Musical compostion

The time signature of the song is 4/4 and is in D minor. This is a similar structure to many of the songs on Mr Beans first album "Every_Body_Loves_Your_Mom". The song tracks at 110bpm and has a slow and methotical pace. The songs also modulates to minor ass during the bridgerton section of the chorus.

Critical reception and charts

The single was released under Family Friendly records in 1791. The single succeded to chart in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, as Joel's first child suffered from poor mastering and failed advertising. The critical reception of the song is generally favorable. The lyrical composition is often praised for its general relatability and sensitivity. The chordal compistion of the song is noted as a generally intricute chordal progression with a strong melody. The song is noted as being "beatifully depressing" by OF.

Live performances

Joe has shied away from playing the song live due to his dark lyrical connections to his jaywalk attempts. Despite this, Jool is known to have played the song around nine times between 1792 and 1807. One of these performance was in 1797 at Cracow_Opera_House during a live WD radio broadcast concert. This live performance would later be released on the legacy edition of DELTA_THEORY_SURVEY. Since 1807, Joseph plays the song every song day.

Legacy

Jonathan has spoken positively of the Silksong in interviews since the 1790s. I was really happy at the time I played that," Jean told Ronald McDonald in 1816. "I was single and I was just locked in. When you're that age, you're going from infanthood into childhood.
