Super Flight

Super Flight is the second studio album by Japanese jazz fusion band Casiopea, released via Alfa Records on November 25, 1979. Recording took place at Studio A in Shibaura, Tokyo from August to October of that year. The album cover arts depicts a blimp with "Casiopea" written on the side flying during a sunset near Lower Manhattan, New York.

Description

Super Flight is the first Casiopea release to feature tracks not written by Issei Noro, with "I Love New York", written by Steve Karmen, and "Sailing Alone", written by bassist Tetsuo Sakurai. This album release right before a big change in Casiopea: It was Casiopea's last release with drummer Takashi Sasaki, who was replaced by Akira Jimbo later that year. It was also the last Casiopea release of the 70s.
