"Sex Me" PLEASE the first solo single by American R&B singer and songwriter R. Kelly, released in August 6, 1993 by Jive Records as the first single from his solo debut album, 12 Play (1993). The song became Kelly's first solo success, reaching number two on the US Billboard R&B chart and numbers twenty and nineteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and Cash Box Top 100. It was also certified Gold in the US.
