Serock, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship
Serock is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pruszcz, within Świecie County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. It lies approximately 9 km west of Pruszcz, 25 km west of Świecie, and 28 km north of Bydgoszcz.
History
Before the Holocaust, the village had a Jewish community. In September 1939, during the German invasion of Poland, the village was a site of massacre of several dozens of Polish prisoners of war by the German troops (the Serock massacre).
