Rochelle is a city in Wilcox County, Georgia, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 1,167.

History

The community was named after La Rochelle, in France. The Georgia General Assembly incorporated Rochelle as a town in 1888.

Rochelle is located at 31.94889°N, -83.45389°W (31.948993, -83.453875). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.9 sqmi, all land.

In 2020, the city's population was 1,167, down from 1,174 in 2010.

Education
