Ostrovec is a municipality in Písek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants. Ostrovec lies approximately 14 km north of Písek, 56 km north-west of České Budějovice, and 78 km south of Prague.
Administrative parts
The municipality is made up of the villages of Dědovice, Dolní Ostrovec and Horní Ostrovec.
