Ochla, Lubusz Voivodeship

Ochla is a district of the city of Zielona Góra, in western Poland, located in the southern part of the city. It was a separate village until 2014. Ochla has a population of 1,544.

History

Ochla has a history dating back to the 13th century when it originated at the edge of the forest. The names "Lednicza" (Old Polish for "clearing") and "Romisdorf" (in German) were used by the inhabitants of Ochla, reflecting its dual cultural heritage.
