Mathis Independent School District
Mathis Independent School District is a public school district based in Mathis, Texas (USA). Located mostly in San Patricio County, small portions of the district extend into Live Oak, and Bee counties. Other communities served by the district include: Edgewater Estates, Lake City, Lakeshore Gardens-Hidden Acres, Lakeside, Paisano Park, and San Patricio. Previously Edgewater Estates and Paisano Park were in a single census-designated place, Edgewater-Paisano. In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.
