Mario Salas (footballer)
Mario Alfredo Salas Saieg (, born 11 October 1967) is a Chilean football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He was recently the current of Ñublense. Salas earned five caps for the Chile national team, scoring no goals between 1993 and 1997, and made his debut in 1993 in a friendly match against Spain in Alicante. He started his managerial career at Barnechea in 2009. In 2011, he won the Tercera División de Chile title and the promotion to Primera B. In 2012, he was appointed as head coach of the Chile U20 national team after the resignation of Fernando Carvallo. He completed his BA in Physical education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso.
