Despite its status as Australia's sixth largest city, the Gold Coast has the fourth-greatest number of skyscrapers in Australia. With more than 20 smaller highrise being constructed in 2024, at present 12 buildings are built at a height of 150 metres (492.1ft) or taller and 6 under construction (2024) less than Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
