List of current members of the Rajya Sabha
The Parliament of India a bicameral legislature composed of the Rajya Sabha (Council of States) and the Lok Sabha (House of the People). Membership is limited to 245 members. 233 are elected by the State legislative assemblies, and 12 are nominated by the president of India for their contributions to art, literature, science, and social services. Members sit for overlapping six years terms, with one-third of the members retiring every two years.
