Lessona is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 km northeast of Turin and about 12 km east of Biella. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,487 and an area of 11.7 km2. Lessona borders the following municipalities: Casapinta, Castelletto Cervo, Cossato, Crosa, Masserano, Mottalciata. Lessona it's produced the Lessona wine also a wine of great quality, vinified since the 12th century.
