Kunchi is a Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Kunchi. Now officially known as Ghari local government. It has an area of 671 km2 and a population of 111,018 at the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 703.

Economy

The region has a long history of agriculture as well; the Local Government Area is well-known for growing a variety of crops, including rice, millet, tomatoes, sorghum, and beans.
