Kristyn Elizabeth Rebekah Getty ( Lennox, born 22 May 1980 in Belfast) is a Northern Irish Christian singer and songwriter. With her husband, Keith Getty, she has co-written a number of popular modern hymns.

Career

Kristyn and Keith write and release hymns together. In 2020, Kristyn recorded the entire English Standard Version (ESV) Bible which is now available to hear for free on the ESV Bible app.

Kristyn together with her husband has written and produced a number of children's worship albums.

Recognition

In 2017, Kristyn Getty and Keith performed for former US Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Second Lady Karen Pence at the vice president's residence, which is on the grounds of the Naval Observatory. They have performed for George W. Bush, the United Nations, former South Korean president Lee Myung-Bak, the enthronement of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and for former UK prime minister Theresa May. Their song, "In Christ Alone" reached No. 3 on the BBC Songs of Praise chart in 2019, topped the CCLI chart in the UK for more than 15 years, and was in the top 20 of the CCLI chart in the United States for more than 13 consecutive years. The British Hymn Society said "In Christ Alone" is one of the top 5 hymns of all time. According to CCLl, "In Christ Alone" ranks as the No.1 most-sung song in UK churches. Written by Stuart Townend and Keith Getty in 2001, the song is the second most popular hymn in the UK according to a survey conducted by the BBC's Songs of Praise programme.
