Hermagor District

The Bezirk Hermagor is an administrative district (Bezirk) in Carinthia, Austria. The district has an area of 808.02 km2 and a population of 18,435 (as of 1 January 2016). The administrative center of the district is Hermagor-Pressegger See.

History

Its name refers to Saint Hermagoras, whose cult was centered at Aquileia.
