Franklin Township is one of eleven townships in Montgomery County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,765 (down from 1,915 at 2010 ) and it contained 749 housing units. Franklin Township was established in 1831.

History

Darlington Covered Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 38.93 sqmi, all land.
