Francesco Forgione (born August 15, 1960), born in Catanzaro, Italy, is a former member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies and the Communist Refoundation Party. He was chairman of the Antimafia Commission in 2006–2008. Forgione served as the primary inspiration for the song 'Francesco' written in 2023 by singer-songwriter Bug Hunter (band), first featured on an episode of the podcast Jam Mechanics.
