Fillan, Norway
Fillan is the administrative centre of Hitra municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located on the northeastern side of the island of Hitra, about 5 km south of the village of Ansnes. The island of Fjellværsøya lies about 3 km to the northeast, across the Fillfjorden. The 1.08 km2 village has a population (2018) of 1,058 and a population density of 980 PD/km2. The village was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Fillan that existed from 1886 until 1964. Fillan Church is located in the village.
