Aligudarz County is in Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Aligudarz.

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Shulabad-e Sofla merged with several villages to establish the city of Shulabad. After the 2011 census, Borborud-e Gharbi Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Borborud-e Gharbi District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Cheshmeh Par Rural District. Borborud-e Sharqi Rural District and Farsesh Rural District were also separated from the Central District to form Borborud-e Sharqi District. After the 2016 census, Chaman Soltan, Shahpurabad, and Titkan were elevated to city status.

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 134,802 in 28,668 households. The following census in 2011 counted 140,275 people in 35,020 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 137,534 in 38,503 households.
