Fernando Verdasco defeated Robin Söderling in the final, 6–3, 4–6, 6–3, to win the singles tennis title at the 2010 Barcelona Open. It was his first Barcelona Open title. Rafael Nadal was the five-time reigning champion, but withdrew before the tournament due to fatigue.
