2001 Wimbledon Championships โ Women's singles
Defending champion Venus Williams defeated Justine Henin in the final, 6โ1, 3โ6, 6โ0 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 2001 Wimbledon Championships. It was her second Wimbledon singles title and third major singles title overall. This tournament saw world No. 1 Martina Hingis lose in the opening round to world No. 83 Virginia Ruano Pascual.
