2000 Melbourne Cup

The 2000 Melbourne Cup was the 140th running of the Melbourne Cup, a prestigious Australian Thoroughbred horse race. The race, run over 3200 m, was held on 6 November 2000 at Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse. It was won by Brew, trained by Michael Moroney and ridden by Kerrin McEvoy.
