1962 CFL season

The 1962 CFL season is considered to be the ninth season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the fifth Canadian Football League season.

The Canadian Football Hall of Fame was established in Hamilton. The 50th Grey Cup game, nicknamed "The Fog Bowl", was postponed due to fog on Saturday, December 1. The final 9 minutes and 29 seconds was played on Sunday as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, 28–27 to win their third championship in four years. This was the most recent CFL season with average attendance of under 20,000 spectators per game.
