The 1961 Kansas State Wildcats football team was an American football team that represented Kansas State University as a member of the Big Eight Conference (Big 8) during the 1961 college football season. In their second year under head coach Doug Weaver, the Wildcats compiled a 2–8 record (0–7 in conference games), finished in eighth place in the Big 8, and were outscored by a total of 232 to 58. The team's statistical leaders included quarterback Larry Corrigan (234 passing yards), Joel Searles (252 rushing yards), and Spencer Puls (123 receiving yards). The team played its home games at Memorial Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas.
